December, 2015 - Gil's Roofing installs a PVC single-ply roof on an apartment complex in Tarzana, CA.
Single-ply PVC is a smart option for flat roofed residential buildings, common in the San Fernando Valley. These clean, odorless materials can be installed without the use of a torch, leaving residents to breathe freely.
Installing a layer of 1/2" USG Securock® Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board. This material forms the base layer of the roof. Fire resistant (Fire Class A), moisture and mold resistant.
Using a hot air gun and hand-pressure roller to seal the seams of the PVC sheets (Versiflex 60-MIL PVC).
Located in a densely populated multi-family residential neighborhood, this project demanded a clean solution. Single-ply is also a good option for restaurants, grocery stores and medical offices.
Cutting a PVC cone to form a seal around a ventilation tube.
